Women represent 50 percent of middle-management and professional positions, while the number of women at the top of these organizations is not even a 1/3 of that percent. Susan Colantuono believes that leadership manifests at every level. Her main focus is to address the reasoning behind why many women are mired in the middle, and what must be done in order for them to reach the top. She reminds her audience and the public that in many cases it’s important for CEO’s, boards, and HR executives to recognize this gender gap in order to level the playing field.
