Kevin first got involved with youth-led change-making projects through the student representative groups at high school and has since become a bit addicted to it. Starting with a project to campaign for a more convenient school bus route for students from rural areas, Kevin went on to co-found the youth and student led organisations Multicultural Youth NT (MyNT) and CDU Talloires. CDU Talloires is a student group at Charles Darwin University that engages students with projects in the wider community. MyNT is a vibrant organisation that focuses on making ideas reality. The organisation supports young leaders in developing and implementing a growing list of community successful projects. In his professional life, Kevin is a solicitor at Ward Keller.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
