Rafael Villazón is an Architect and Masters degree in Civil Engineering from los Andes University, Bogotá. Graduated in technique teaching in architecture schools and Ph. D in architecture in the School of Architecture of Barcelona. His research work has been based on: architecture education and teaching, application of information technologies in architecture teaching, and technological innovation in constructive processes. Since 1997 he’s been working in los Andes University Architecture Department. He is currently the Dean of that department in the same university.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
