Introduction to Hootsuite- A Business Social Media Management App

Hootsuite is an app considered a “Social Media Management System.” The app allows a company to view and manage all of their social media accounts on one platform. It enables a company to see what society says about their brand and allows them to respond immediately. In seeing customer opinions, they can adjust their business plan to their consumer’s needs. Hootsuite lets a company develop one post and share it to all social media channels at once. This can be helpful in getting an important message out to customer in a quick and simple way. The app allows a company to manage the following networks: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn Profile and Pages, Instagram, WordPress, Vimeo, Tumblr, Evernote, Flickr, MailChimp, SlideShare, Storify, and many more. Hootsuite includes a messaging feature located through the Inbox tab. It provides companies with the ability to send coworkers private messages. In the business field, Hootsuite would be beneficial for companies to manage customer service. Hootsuite can save a draft message that any member of the company can post which is helpful for frequently asked questions by customers. Hootsuite is a  team oriented app. Its team management facility allows an individual (manager) to assign responses to different team members or split up the work by task. Each employee has their own Hootsuite account. When they log in, their assigned task will be shown and ready for them to complete. This app ability makes the company more productive by eliminating the chance of responding to the same message twice or two different team members doing the same assignment. The application also sends out weekly analytic reports that provide graphs of the company’s social media information. It gives charts and numerical graphs of items such as the number of clicks per day, geographical information on the people clicking through, top referrers, and the most popular links.
