In a world where everyone is fighting for equal rights, one student from Baldwin High School gives a plan to promote equality that just might work. Junior David Cabañero will discuss how the world can become a more accepting place.
David Cabañero is an eleventh grader from H.P. Baldwin High School. Strong-willed and independent, he is an optimist and loves to help people. When he graduates, he plans to become a biologist and a performer. David loves to sing, dance, and play the flute, and in his spare time, he creates and arranges music. There’s not a day when David is not smiling—he loves to be happy and energetic every day.
Recorded at TEDxYouth@SeaburyHall 2014, held on April 6, 2014 at the `A`ali`ikūhonua Creative Arts Center.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
